AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HINDS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO HOLD ITS REGULAR MEETINGS IN ONLY ONE OF THE COURT DISTRICTS OF HINDS COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 19-3-13, the Board of Supervisors of Hinds County is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to hold its regular meetings in only one (1) of the court districts of the county.

If the board of supervisors elects to hold its regular meetings in a court district other than as required by Section 19-3-13, the board shall enter an order upon its minutes to that effect and shall give at least five (5) days' notice thereof by posting copies of such notice at the courthouse door of each district.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
